Raspberry Pomegranate Oat Smoothie
Build a better beverage with antioxidant-rich
pomegranate and raspberries, protein-packed hemp seeds and high-fiber dates. While this smoothie is a spectacular breakfast choice year-round, it’s particularly enjoyable during the holiday season because of its festive coloring (all natural, of course!) and fresh peppermint-y garnish.
Raspberry Pomegranate Oat Smoothie
- ½ cup organic rolled oats
- 1 Tbsp. hemp seeds
- 1 Tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 organic pitted dates (soaked in hot water)
- 1½ cup water
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
Garnish
- Fresh mint leaves
- Pomegranate seeds
- In high-speed blender, combine all ingredients (except for mint leaves) for 30 seconds.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh mint and pomegranate seeds.
- After blending, taste smoothie and adjust as needed. Add ice and blend if you prefer it colder. You can also add one more date, or some stevia, if you prefer a sweeter flavor. Blend for a few more seconds and serve.
- This recipe calls for oats and water. If you prefer, omit these two ingredients and add 1.5 cups nut milk instead.
