DIY Probiotic Overnight Cream

and feed its microbiome with a DIY moisturizer. That’s right, even your skin is teeming with bacteria (the healthy kind!) hard at work maintaining pH balance, preventing infection, even fighting off acne and dry skin. This overnight cream is made with antioxidant-packed shea butter, which not only has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, it seals in moisture to keep skin hydrated. Add raw honey for more moisture, and open up one
Codeage Probiotic & Prebiotic capsule to include in the mixture. The resulting overnight cream can be applied straight from the fridge, massaged into your skin and washed off in the morning.
DIY Probiotic Overnight Cream
- 1/2 cup raw shea butter (diced into cubes)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp. raw honey
- 1 tsp. vitamin E oil
- 6 drops grapefruit essential oil or oil of choice
- 1 capsule Codeage Amen SBO Probiotic & Prebiotic
- In simmering double boiler, melt shea butter and coconut oil together.
- Let cool about one minute.
- Stir in vitamin E oil and grapefruit essential oil
- Transfer to a covered container and chill until the oil starts to set but doesn’t fully harden.
- Open one Codeage Probiotic & Prebiotic capsule and add to chilled mixture.
- Using stand mixer with whisk attachment, a food processor, blender or handheld mixer, mix until emulsified and white in color.
- Keep refrigerated to prevent melting in warmer weather.
