Pine (Pinus sylvestris) essential oil, known for its cleansing, penetrating and invigorating properties, makes a great contribution to a wide variety of home and body care blends. On its own or blended with other oils, the aroma of pine essential oil can encourage fortitude and strength.
Aura Cacia Pine Essential Oil typically comes from Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania. The species from which we produce the essential oil, Pinus sylvestris, is appropriate for home and body care. Other pine species such as Pinus mugo or Pinus palustris (which is found in turpentine) can be irritating to the senses. The oil is produced by steam distillation of the needles, twigs and bark.

Directions
Clear the Air: Put a few drops of pine on a cotton ball and place in your vacuum bag.
Liven Up: 5 drops each pine and tangerine, 1/4 cup water in an electric vaporizer.

Make Your Own Christmas Tree-Scented Sachet with Essential Oils
These easy-to-make sachets diffuse a foresty aroma fresh enough to enhance a holiday mood or uplift the winter doldrums. Tuck into closets, drawers or clothes hampers, or use as an aromatic addition to your holiday decorating.
Materials
1/4 cup dried whole rosemary leaves
16 drops Aura Cacia Balsam Fir Needle Essential Oil
8 drops Aura Cacia Pine Essential Oil
8-in. square piece cotton fabric, or small linen bag with tie string
Ribbon or string, 8 to 10 in. in length
Directions
- In small mixing bowl, add rosemary. Sprinkle in balsam fir needle and pine essential oils, tossing with spoon to blend.
- Fill linen bag with scented rosemary or place rosemary in center of cloth, gather together corners and sides of cloth and tie with ribbon or string.
- To use, place sachets in closets, drawers or clothes hampers.
- Refresh with additional essential oils as needed.
