Yellow mung dal is made from whole mung beans that have been hulled and split, resulting in a delicate lentil-like legume that provides an excellent source of protein. Quick to cook and easy to digest, yellow mung dal is an essential kitchen staple for your healthy Ayurvedic lifestyle.
Cooking Instructions: Soak dal 4–6 hours or overnight.** Rinse and drain. Add to a pot with water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until done, about 20 minutes. Add salt to taste.
**If using unsoaked dal, increase cooking time and water.
