Puppy Parfait: A Fruit-Filled Frozen Treat
Ice Cream
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain and unsweetened)
- 1 banana (ripe (about ½ cup))
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter (unsweetened)
Layers & Toppings
- Your pup’s favorite fruits (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, banana, apple, mango, peaches, pineapple, etc.)
Optional Toppings & Garnishes
- Unsalted crushed peanuts (roasted or raw)
- Dog treats
- Nutritional supplement powders
- To make ice cream, place ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth.
- Pour into an airtight container and freeze 4-5 hours or until firm.
- In the pawfait dish, spoon a bit of the ice cream for the bottom layer. Add a layer of sliced or chopped fruit, then continue alternating layers of ice cream and fruit.
- Garnish top with crushed peanuts or dog treats. Sprinkle with a healthy supplement powder if desired.
- If ice cream is too hard to scoop, let sit out one hour
- Keep ice cream stored in an airtight container in the freezer
