Dear Friends, Many years ago, my wife Charlee and I stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast in the Scottish countryside. One morning, our hostess served us the most amazing cereal. It was full of rolled grains, nuts, seeds and dried fruit. This was my first contact with the traditional European cereal known as muesli. A quick bit of history: muesli was invented over a century ago by a Swiss doctor who was way ahead of his time when it came to understanding the health benefits of whole grains. He made all of his patients eat muesli every day, and they loved it!
I enjoyed that muesli so much that I was inspired to make my very own version of this nutritious cereal. Our fantastic Gluten Free muesli is a tasty blend of lightly toasted gluten free rolled oats, brown rice crisps, delectable dried fruits, crunchy nuts and seeds. And since we know that even a little bit of gluten can be a big problem for those of you with gluten sensitivities, we ensure the integrity of our Gluten Free Muesli every step of the way. Like all our gluten free products, our Gluten Free muesli is mixed and packaged in our dedicated gluten free facility, and batch tested in our quality control laboratory. Whether you eat it hot, cold or soaked in yogurt overnight (the traditional Swiss way), I just know you will enjoy this wholesome cereal.

Perfectly Simple
Our gluten free muesli is wonderfully tasty and nourishing! What makes this cereal so great? It's perfectly simple:

Directions
HAVE IT HOT
Stovetop: For hot cereal, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add 1/2 cup muesli, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 7 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 2 minutes before serving. Makes 2 delicious servings.
Microwave: Put 1/4 cup muesli and 1/2 cup water or milk in a large bowl. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stopping to stir once during cooking. Makes 1 marvelous serving.
MAKE IT COLD
For cold cereal, add 1/4 cup muesli to 1/2 cup yogurt, milk or fruit juice. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Makes 1 terrific serving.
TRY IT SWISS-STYLE
To make 1 serving of Swiss-style cereal, combine 1/4 cup muesli, 1/2 cup yogurt and 1 cored and grated apple (including the peel). Cover and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
Store in a cool, dry place.

Berry Parfait with Gluten-Free Muesli & Vegan Yogurt
No dairy? No problem! At least that’s true if you’re whipping up this 10-minute vegan parfait. Instead of dairy-based yogurt, this recipe features a creamy, silky-smooth blend of almonds, cashews and coconut water. And, because gluten isn’t your friend either, why not make this delicious breakfast completely sans gluten? Add a gluten-free muesli for a bit of crunch and follow it up with tart, juicy berries for a nutrient-rich breakfast, snack or dessert.
Serves 2
Ingredients
Parfait
1-1/2 cup Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Muesli
2 pouches Santa Cruz Organic® Apple Strawberry Sauce
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup fresh raspberries
4 fresh mint leaves
Vegan Yogurt
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
- In a high-speed blender, process all yogurt ingredients until smooth and fully incorporated.
- In 2 glasses, cups or bowls, place the first layer of muesli. Top with a layer of vegan yogurt, then apple-strawberry sauce and repeat.
- To serve, sprinkle in fruit and mint leaves.
