Heart-Smart Air Fryer Fish Sticks
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Reel in a delicious twist on a classic favorite with these heart-healthy air fryer fish sticks. Made with wholesome wild-caught cod, a crunchy coating of gluten-free almond flour, a zing of ground mustard seed and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, these low-sodium, dippable sticks are sure to make a splash at your dinner table.
Heart-Smart Air Fryer Fish Sticks
- 1-1/2 lbs. wild cod (cut into strips)
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 Tbsp. coconut flour
- 1 tsp. ground mustard seed
- 1/4 cup avocado oil
- 1 egg white (omit if watching sodium intake)
- I lemon (juice only)
- Black pepper (or red pepper, to taste)
- Pinch sea salt (omit if watching sodium intake)
- In medium-sized mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.
- Add egg white and oil and mix well.
- Coat fish with mixture.
- In air fryer basket, arrange fish strips. Squeeze lemon juice over each strip.
- Set fryer to Air Fry setting at 400 degrees F. Cook 5-6 minutes, flip fish and continue cooking 2-3 minutes.
- Serve with salad and favorite dipping sauce.
