Smooth, semi-sweet Belgian dark chocolate crafted from African cocoa beans. Upon eating, the sweetness gives way to toasty cocoa with hints of malt, and then finishes with a light cocoa flavor. The careful bean selection, roasting, and very fine grinding create a smooth and delicious dark chocolate.

Orange Hot Chocolate
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Warm-up with this decadent dark chocolate drink. This recipe infuses almond milk with notes of cinnamon and orange, and is highly adaptable: Substitute a different plant-based milk, make it vegan with dairy-free chocolate and a dollop of coconut whipped cream, or choose chocolate with a higher cocoa percentage for an ultra-rich drink. It’s easily doubled, tripled or even quadrupled to serve a crowd.
Orange Hot Chocolate
- 1-1/3 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 orange peel (whole or in wide strips)
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate (coarsely chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice (or to taste)
Garnishes
- Whipped cream (or coconut whip)
- Orange chocolate (shaved)
- Orange zest
- Ground cinnamon
- In medium saucepan on low heat, combine almond milk, orange peel and cinnamon stick and bring to gentle simmer. Simmer one minute, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat. Cover and allow mixture to steep 30 minutes.
- With tongs, remove orange peel and cinnamon stick.
- In same saucepan over low heat, rewarm almond milk. Add chopped dark chocolate and stir until melted.
- Remove from heat. Stir in orange juice.
- Pour into mugs and garnish as desired.
