DIY Dog Breath Mints

Let’s face it, when your canine companion suffers from dog breath, you suffer from dog breath. These frozen dog breath mints contain parsley, mint and chlorophyll to help combat and prevent bad breath from the inside. Chlorophyll helps to improve digestion, which is often the cause of bad breath, even for dogs with healthy teeth and gums. While the parsley and mint are refreshing by themselves, they also contain chlorophyll, making these treats an excellent solution for keeping those doggie kisses free from funk.
DIY Dog Breath Mints
- 1/2 cup unsalted and unseasoned bone broth (or water)
- 2-1/2 Tbsp. dried mint (or 1/2 cup fresh mint)
- 2-1/2 Tbsp. dried parsley (or 1/2 cup fresh parsley)
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 chlorophyll capsules (100 mg, opened with powder poured out)
- 2 Tbsp. almond butter
Optional
- Place ice cube trays or silicone molds onto cookie sheet for stability and transport.
- In blender, combine all ingredients and pulse until smooth.
- Into molds, evenly distribute mixture.
- Freeze until hard set, about 3-4 hours.
Shelf-life & Storage
Store in airtight container in freezer. These will keep for months.
