Nopal, also know as the "Prickly Pear", has been treasured for hundreds of years by the indigenous tribes living in the northern hemisphere. The flesh of this fruit contains a broad array of valuable compounds including trace amounts of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, enzymes, betalains, amino acids, polysaccharides, polyphenols and fiber. Acai flourishes in phytosterols. Mangosteen, known as the "Queen of Fruits", contains unique antioxidants called xanthones. Seabuckthorn flourishes in the mountainous regions of Asia. It contains naturally occurring omegas 3, 6, 9 and the rare omega 7.
