Betaine HCl is formulated with a gentle potency of hydrochloric acid, protein-digestive enzymes, and soothing herbs to assist with low stomach acid and soothe occasional heartburn/indigestion while protecting the lining of the stomach.
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) and pepsin are critical to digestion and nutrient absorption, and without enough, gut-related issues, including occasional heartburn, may occur. HCl is essential for the absorption of minerals such as potassium, iron, and calcium and is responsible for triggering several different intestinal hormones and enzymes. Pepsin is a digestive enzyme that breaks down and digests proteins found in certain foods such as eggs, meat, and dairy products. This enzyme helps to maintain is responsible for breaking down these proteins into smaller peptides to be correctly absorbed within the small intestine.
Betaine HCl also features Mucosave® FG to support and maintain a healthy mucosal system in the stomach. Mucosave® FG is a patented and clinically studied blend of prickly pear and olive leaf extracts that have been shown to have protective effects by creating a barrier in the lining of the stomach.
Recommended Dose: Take 1-2 capsules three times daily with meals, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
