Between doing the laundry, helping the kiddos with homework and prepping for the next day, there’s hardly even time to make dinner. But thanks to this 10-minute veggie burger recipe, you can have a nutrient-packed, kid-friendly meal ready in a jiffy! Serve these patties on gluten-free bread rolls, in a lettuce wrap or over a bed of greens--there are plenty of options to please every member of your household. At the end of the night, you might even be able to squeeze in a few quiet minutes for yourself.
Chickpea Hemp Burgers
Serves 4

Ingredients
¼ cup TigerNut flour
2 Tbsp. + 3 Tbsp. Nutiva Hemp Seeds, divided
1 tsp. flaxseed meal
14 oz. canned chickpeas, drained
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. Redmond Real Salt
½ tsp. cumin powder
¼ tsp. cumin seeds
¼ tsp. turmeric
¼ tsp. fennel
¼ tsp. sage
¼ tsp. rosemary
1/8 tsp. oregano
2 Tbsp. TigerNut oil (or extra virgin coconut oil, for cooking)
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except 3 tablespoons of hemp seeds and TigerNut oil. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
- Divide mixture into four patties and cover each patty with the remaining hemp seeds.
- In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil.
- Fry patties until golden, about 3-½ minutes on each side.
