Our Grey Sea Salt is an unrefined and unprocessed sea salt sourced from clean coastal waters along the Guérande Region of Brittany, France. This robust, briny and mineral-rich sea salt is harvested by traditional methods using a paludier, a craftsman salt harvester. This is a lovely, aromatic salt to flavor water for boiling pasta, or to adorn grilled shellfish, bivalves and fish.

Directions

Stuffed Tomatoes

Filled with fluffy rice, bits of rich prune, fresh herbs and a perfect blend of spices, this dish is a bright twist on a classic favorite. Simple to prepare and bursting with Mediterranean flavors, these stuffed tomatoes are sure to become a new favorite in your recipe collection.

Stuffed Tomatoes Filled With Rice and Herbs on Scallop-Edged White Plate Set on Rustic Wooden Board

Stuffed Tomatoes

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 4 prunes (chopped)
  • 1/3 cup parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Preheat oven to 375.
  3. With knife, slice tops off tomatoes, use spoon to scoop out flesh and set that aside. Leave outer part of tomatoes intact and arrange them in baking dish. If using tomato tops for presentation, set them in baking dish, as well.
  4. For stuffed tomato filling, chop up scooped out tomato flesh. In bowl, stir together chopped tomato, cooked rice, chopped prunes, parsley and spices.
  5. Fill each tomato with about ½-cup filling. Drizzle tomatoes with olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes.
