Fattoush Salad & Sumac Dressing
When you bring this summery salad to your next gathering, you
will be required to spill the secret to the bright dressing. Sumac, a unique ingredient used in traditional Middle Eastern fattoush salad is a spice with a tart, lemony flavor. Combined with mint, honey, olive oil and garlic, the fresh and interesting flavor is one everyone will want to recreate. In the classic version of fattoush, fried or toasted pita bread provides crunch, but this lower carb rendition incorporates crunchy, chopped vegetables such as Persian cucumber and radishes. Serve this light and lively salad as a side to any meal or as the main attraction with the addition of any protein you choose.
