Frontier Co-op Organic Orange Peel Granules (Citrus sinensis) are obtained from fresh oranges belonging to the Rutaceae family, which is a group of sweet oranges that includes navel oranges and blood oranges. The highest concentration of oils in a sweet orange is found in the peel, which is why this product delivers an exceptionally strong flavor.
Sweet orange peels are known for their intense aroma/fragrance that's delivered by volatiles such as limonene.
