Frontier Co-op Organic Vietnamese Cinnamon (Cinnamomum aromaticum) also known as Saigon cinnamon, is a spice obtained from evergreen trees native to the Saigon district of Vietnam and delivers the strongest flavor of all cinnamon species. It can also be found in China and Japan. The inner bark of the tree is very aromatic and flavorful. Powdered, it's a spice that has a wide variety of cooking uses.

Vietnamese cinnamon is prized amongst chefs all over the world, mainly due to its highly potent characteristics and intensely sweet flavor. A little is all you need. The sweet and earthy aroma of this spice is reminiscent of the winter holiday season. Vietnamese cinnamon is mainly used as a ground spice, commonly added to processed foods and baked goods like cinnamon rolls and muffins. Cranberry Crumble

  • 12 oz. cranberries
  • 1 cup dry organic oats
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. coconut oil (melted)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2-1/2 tsp. cinnamon (divided)
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • Pinch sea salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In bowl, mix together cranberries, maple syrup, vanilla, 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Scoop mixture into 6x6-inch, or similar, baking dish.
  4. In bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, coconut oil, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sea salt; spoon mixture evenly on top of cranberry mixture, patting down slightly.
  5. Bake 45 minutes.
