When pregnant, you are advised to avoid the use of all chemical acids, such as salicylic acid and benzoyle peroxide. These 2 chemicals are in almost every skincare acne fighting product, so it's hard to find a natural alternative.
Apple Cider Vinegar has both antibacterial properties and aneseptic properties. It also restores the skin to the proper pH to aid in less bacterial growth. It has been shown to soften the skin and also can reduce red marks and inflammation.
Witch Hazel Distillate is the plant derived natural form of witch hazel and contains no alcohol. It also has antimicrobial properties and is cooling on the skin. It is a natural moisturizer and contains tannins which tighten the skin.
