Baking Tips
For yeast bread: For every cup of wheat flour in your recipe, add up to 1/3 cup King Arthur Almond Flour to enhance flavor and nutrition, without negatively affecting bread's texture.
For non-yeast treats: Substitute King Arthur Almond Flour for up to 1/4 of the wheat flour in cookies, muffins, cake, and anything else that doesn't use yeast.

Almond Flour Peanut Butter Cookies
Something about peanut butter cookies tugs a little extra on those childhood-memory heartstrings. We remember sneaking fingerfuls of peanut butter while mixing the dough, carefully pressing each cookie with the tines of a fork, and swooning from the all-encompassing aroma while waiting to taste our creation warm out of the oven. By incorporating almond flour, these classic cookies get a healthy upgrade to gluten-free. And almonds boast extra nutritional benefits. Consider them grown up
just enough. Bake these up in 10 minutes and feel transported to simpler times.
Almond Flour Peanut Butter Cookies
- ½ cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- ¼ cup crunchy peanut butter
- ½ cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. bourbon vanilla extract
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- Chocolate chips (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In large bowl, beat together butter, peanut butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until combined.
- Add salt, baking powder and flour and mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips, if desired.
- On baking sheet, use cookie scoop to portion out 12 cookies. Using a fork, lightly press each cookie for pattern.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden-brown. Cool on wire rack.
