King Soba Organic Buckwheat Ramen Noodles Description
Ramen are traditional Japanese style noodle cakes which unfold on cooking. using these quick cooking noodles, a meal can easily be prepared in just a few minutes. Buckwheat - despite its name - is actually wheat free and is derived from a plant related to the rhubarb family. It has a rich, nutty flavour and a high nutritional value.
The noodles are hand-crafted in the traditional way and individually portioned and packed for your convenience.
Directions
To Prepare: Bring 1 liter of water to the boil. Add one noodle cake per person. When the noodles begin to unfold, separate them gently with a fork and then reduce the heat. continue to cook for 3-4 minutes or until the noodles are just soft. Strain through a colander and briefly rinse with cold water.
Serving Suggestions: Add to a chicken or prawn stir fry with leafy greens and ginger. Mix in with Miso soup for a healthy and traditional Japanese snack.

Matcha Ramen Noodles

This matcha ramen noodles recipe, on the other hand, won’t slow you down. Matcha green tea powder has less than half the amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee, so this dish will power you through the afternoon slump without keeping you awake all night long.
Makes 1-2 servings
Ingredients
1 scoop (2g) matcha green tea powder
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. raw honey
1 Tbsp. coconut aminos
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 pkg. buckwheat ramen noodles
1-2 Tbsp. reserved pasta water
Directions
- Cook ramen according to package directions. Reserve 1-2 Tbsp. pasta water.
- In bowl, combine matcha, oil, honey, coconut aminos, garlic and black pepper.
- Stir sauce into hot ramen noodles and add reserved water.
- Serve immediately.
