1. Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in a pot, and bring to a boil.
2. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low simmer, and cook 15 minutes.
3. Remove from heat (with lid on) and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
To prepare in a rice cooker, use same water-rice ratio. *If rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp liquid and cook longer.
We recommend refrigeration for extended shelf life.

Turmeric Rice Pilaf with Coconut Milk
Rice pilaf as really just everyday rice in some fine jewelry. Without much ado, the end result is an unfussy dish that feels a little bit fancy. This wonderful turmeric rice with coconut milk and veggies is a great glow-up for your table. Super quick and easy to make, the creamy, aromatic results can be paired with a variety of main dishes. Plus it’s gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan!
Turmeric Rice Pilaf with Coconut Milk
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 cup light coconut milk
- 1-¼ cups water
- 2 tsp. turmeric
- ¼ tsp. pink salt
- 1-½ cups frozen peas and carrots
- Rinse rice in fine mesh strainer.
- In pot, combine rice, coconut milk, water, turmeric and salt. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for time stated on rice package.
- Stir in peas and carrots and cook additional 5 minutes to heat veggies through.
