Directions

Do Not Eat Raw Batter

You Will Need:

Mix

1 large egg

1/3 cup butter (melted)

icing topping

 

Instructions:

Prep: approx. 5 minutes

Bake: 22-28 minutes

 

1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease or line an 8"x8" pan with parchment paper.

 

2. Mix together 1 egg and butter in a large bowl. Add mix and stir until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan and use the back of a spoon or spatula to spread in an even later.

 

3. Bake for 22-25 minutes in a metal pan, 25-28 minutes in a glass pan or until a toothpick inserted to the center comes out clean. Cool completely.

 

4. Top with vanilla icing (gently massage packet to soften or run under hot water for 30 seconds). Cut a small opening in the corner of the icing packet and drizzle icing over blondies in desired pattern. Let icing harden for 30 minutes before cutting and serving.

What is mindfulness?

Definitions vary, but a mindful approach is generally considered a form of meditation?a calming, centering lifestyle practice in which we attend to events and experiences in a highly receptive manner. Mindfulness is also described as a state of nonjudgmental attentiveness; the basic human ability to be fully present, acutely aware of our space and what we are engaged in. Mindful baking is simply applying mindfulness techniques to the baking process. As with any creative endeavor, this starts with your attitude before you begin. If you are feeling tense, anxious or stressed, for example, you may want to take time to decompress before embarking on the project, especially if you are seeking a calm, enjoyable, mindful experience. Paying close attention is fundamental to mindful baking, as one step builds upon the next. Being exact in calculating ingredients is an exercise in awareness.
