What is a Liposome: Liposomes are made of a double walled sphere with heads on the outside and tails on the inside. The phosphate head of phospholipids is hydrophilic – it loves water. The fatty-acid tails (lipids) are hydrophobic – they repel water. The center of the sphere contains the active ingredients.
