Maintenance

40 to 79 lbs - 1 1/2 tablets
80 lbs and over - 2 tablets
After the initial three week period, the number of tablets can often be reduced to a level that maintains the pet. Reduction should be done gradually in 1/2 to 1 tablet increments depending on the size of the pet, and should not be reduced more than one time per month. Administration may be increased at any time depending on the pet's needs.

Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. Consult with your veterinarian before using this product in animals: with clotting disorders; being treated with anticoagulant medications; diabetes, or any metabolic disorder causing hyperglycemia; history of urinary tract stones; known allergies to shellfish. If lameness worsens, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset.
