Gone Fishin' Pet Treats

These soft-baked pet treats are made for both dogs and cats, with omega-3-rich fish, wholesome oats and a tender texture that’s easy for puppies, senior pets and finicky felines alike. Quick to mix, simple to bake and endlessly adaptable, they’re perfect for training, snack time or just showing your four-legged companions some extra love.
Gone Fishin' Pet Treats
- 1 can (5 oz.) no salt added salmon (tuna, mackerel or chicken, undrained)
- 1 cup oat flour
- 3 Tbsp. flaxseed meal
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
Optional
- 4 tsp. NaturVet All-In-One Supplement Powder for Dogs & Cats
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place sheet of parchment paper size of cookie sheet on countertop.
- In medium bowl, add all ingredients and mix thoroughly until soft dough forms.
- Place dough onto parchment paper and roll out to ¼-inch thick, staying within confines of parchment paper.
- Transfer parchment paper onto cookie sheet. Using pizza cutter, cut vertical or horizontal strips. When done, repeat cutting in opposite direction to create squares.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Remove cookie sheet and break up grid using a spatula or oven-mitted hands. Spread squares around evenly on sheet and return to oven.
- Bake 10-20 minutes, depending on size of squares, or until edges are golden brown.
- Transfer treats to wire rack to cool completely.
• Any high-quality canned meat with no added salt can be used for this recipe: salmon, tuna, mackerel, chicken, etc. You can also use fresh-cooked fish or chicken.
• Shelf-Life & Storage: Store in refrigerator in airtight container for 1-2 weeks. Freeze for up to 2 months.
