Coconut Cardamom Banana “Nice” Cream
When it comes to ice cream, those avoiding dairy have many options. Bananas, avocados, coconut, nut milks and nut butters can all create a creamy consistency reminiscent of the frozen dairy dessert. Two of the most popular alternatives, bananas and coconut cream, come together with cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon to bring you an icy treat so thick, velvety and tasty, you'll forget all about the original.
Coconut Cardamom Banana “Nice” Cream
Ingredients
2 frozen, ripe bananas, sliced
¼ cup coconut cream, full fat
1-2 Tbsp. unsweetened vanilla coconut or cashew milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pure vanilla bean powder
¼ tsp. cardamom powder
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. fresh ginger or 1 tsp. ginger powder, optional
Directions
- In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients. Process until smooth.
- Place in a container and freeze for 1 hour or enjoy immediately after blending.
