Primal Kitchen Tartar Sauce Description

  • Tartar Sauce Made With Avocado Oil
  • Sugar Free
  • No Soy or Canola
  • Paleo and Keto Friendly
  • Gluten Free
  • Whole 30 Approved

This new Primal Kitchen Tartar Sauce is kind of a big dill. We made this sauce with avocado oil, one of the fats we love, so this sauce is Whole30 Approved®, Keto, and Paleo Friendly. Slather up seafood favorites like crab cakes, cod, popcorn shrimp, and clam strips, or dunk fries and crudité in this creamy, tangy sauce. Seasoned with a spritz of organic lemon juice and made with pickle relish and organic vinegar, this flavorful sauce is sugar free, made without soy or canola oils, and full of classic flavor. Tartar sauce is for so much more than just seafood: Dunk almond flour-crusted onion rings; slather po' boys made with gluten-free bread; spruce up egg or potato salad, or top off cassava flour-crusted fried green tomatoes or okra with a dollop!

Free Of
Sugar, soy, canola, gluten.

Gluten-Free Fish and Chips

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]There’s no need to fly across the pond for a proper taste of England's legendary fish and chips. This homemade version is every bit as scrumptious, if not more so, thanks to gluten-free ingredients and coconut oil for frying. These better-for-you ingredients ensure you get perfectly crispy, golden chips and flaky fish bursting with flavor, resulting in an authentic English dish right at home. Gluten-Free Fish and Chips

Gluten-Free Fish and Chips

  • 4 cod filets (1/4-inch thick)
  • 1 cup refined coconut oil
  • 2 large potatoes (cut into chips)

Batter

  • 1 pkg. King Arthur Baking Company Gluten-Free Pancake Mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

For Serving

  • Primal Kitchen Tartar Sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • Diced parsley (for garnish)
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and distribute chips evenly. Coat with olive oil and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  3. In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, oil and milk. Whisk in mix. Add salt and pepper. Allow batter to sit 10 minutes to thicken.
  4. In frying pan over medium-high heat, melt coconut oil.
  5. Dip fish into batter to cover and let drip off a bit, then drop gently into oil. Cook 1-2 minutes on one side until golden and crispy, then flip and cook 1-2 minutes on other side. Remove with tongs or slotted utensil to blot oil. (Note: Burner does not need to be at highest temperature: Oil will continue to get hotter. Be careful.)
  6. Serve fish with fresh lemon, tartar sauce, chips and garnish with fresh parsley.
