Pumpkin-Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This pumpkin-chocolate marble loaf cake is the perfect blend of cozy fall flavor and decadent chocolate. With warm pumpkin spice, creamy ghee and swirls of rich cocoa, every slice delivers the ideal balance of sweetness and texture. It’s a show-stopping loaf that’s just as delicious with your morning coffee as it is for dessert.
Pumpkin-Chocolate Marble Loaf Cake
Dry
- 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2-3 tsp. pumpkin spice
Wet
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. ghee
- 1/2 cup avocado oil
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 can pumpkin
- 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla bean paste
Chocolate marbling
- 1/3 cup Dutch chocolate powder (unsweetened)
- 2-3 Tbsp. water
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prep two 8x4-in. pans or one large loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In large bowl add flour, add baking powder, baking soda, salt, pumpkin spice and sift all ingredients. In second bowl, sift Dutch chocolate powder and add 2 tablespoons water to create creamier texture. Set aside.
- In large bowl or mixer, add sugar, ghee, avocado oil and mix until creamy. Add eggs, pumpkin puree, vanilla and milk. Mix until smooth in consistency.
- Combine dry to wet bowl until batter is well combined. Add half of this batter to chocolate marbling bowl and mix well. Create marble effects by alternating pumpkin batter and chocolate batter by layering on top of each other, then smooth out and tap couple times.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes. Slice and enjoy.
You can make two 8x4-in. loaf cakes or one large one.
Since it is low in sugar, feel free to dust some powdered maple or date sugar on top.
Add sweet chocolate chips on top
