Apple Pie Salsa With Cinnamon Chips

This apple salsa is bright, comforting and, best of all, gives you that gooey, apple-pie feeling without turning on the oven for hours. Scoop it up with crisp cinnamon-dusted chips, and suddenly you’ve got a holiday-party favorite that feels nostalgic
and nourishing. It’s as if your favorite pie filling decided to become a dip … and honestly, we’re grateful it did.
Apple Pie Salsa With Cinnamon Chips
- 5 apples (peeled and cubed)
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- 1/2 cup water
Apple pie spice blend
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cardamom
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- Pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
Cinnamon chips
- 3 organic flour tortilla
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
Alternate option
- To medium cooking pot add water, coconut oil and apples.
- Stir in spices, salt and sugar. Cook apples on medium to medium-high heat for 10 minutes. Water should be bubbling. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and allow apples to cool.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Sprinkle tortillas with thin layer of sugar and cinnamon. Bake 5 minutes until crispy.
- Remove from oven and cut into pie slices with pizza cutter.
- Place apple pie salsa in serving bowl and serve with cinnamon chips. Alternatively, serve apple pie salsa with premade churro chips.
