Spectrum’s Avocado Oil is a high heat wonder, with rich stores of monounsaturated fat. We coax the oil from the fruit by cold pressing, then gently refine it using natural methods to create a clean, fresh oil that’s a perfect match for high heat cooking.
This oil is best for high heat applications like sautéing, frying and all-purpose cooking. Excellent for skin care and massage.

Shrimp Toast
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Golden, crisp and irresistibly snackable, this shrimp toast recipe turns simple white bread into a boldly flavored bite. Garlic, ginger and green chilies bring the spark, while sesame seeds add a toasty crunch on top. Dip, share, repeat — it’s the kind of appetizer that vanishes fast, whether served at a lively gathering or a relaxed night in with friends.

Shrimp Toast
- 1/2 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 scallions (finely chopped)
- 2 green chilies (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1- inch piece fresh ginger (peeled)
- 1/4 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Other ingredients
- 8 slices white sandwich bread
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- Vegetable oil (for shallow frying)
Spicy mayo
- 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- In bowl of food processor, add shrimp, egg, cilantro, scallions, green chilies, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, salt, brown sugar, lime juice and cornstarch. Pulse until smooth.
- On work surface, lay out bread slices and spread generous spoonful of shrimp mixture over each slice, pressing gently to adhere. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and lightly press into surface.
- Heat about ½-inch of oil in skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place toasts shrimp-side down. Fry 2-3 minutes until golden and crisp, then flip and fry bread side for 1-2 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
- To make spicy mayo, in small bowl, combine mayo, sriracha and garlic powder, if using. Stir until smooth.
- Slice each toast into halves or quarters. Serve warm with spicy mayo on the side.
