Directions
Stovetop Cooking: Put one package of pasta into 4 quarts (3.78 lt) of boiling water and add a tablespoon salt. Stir occasionally and cook for 16-17 minutes (see also Quick and energy-saving method) until desired tenderness is reached. Rinse with cold water. Drain well. For best results, rid pasta of surface moisture. Can be served hot or warm with any kind of pasta sauce or in your favorite pasta recipes, in hot soup, in salad, stir-fried, or as a casserole. Use it as you would like any regular pasta. The good texture of Tinkyada can withstand quite a bit of over-cooking.

Hawaiian Ham & Pineapple Pasta Salad (Gluten-Free)

This recipe begins with a more inclusive gluten-free brown rice elbow pasta to which you’ll mix cheddar and scallions along with cubed ham and juicy chunks of pineapple (the true star of the show). A sweet and tangy pineapple dressing with a tinge of heat finishes the salad, melding all the flavors. You can count on there not being any left.
Hawaiian Ham & Pineapple Pasta Salad (Gluten-Free)
- 4 cups cooked gluten-free elbow pasta
- 1/2 lb. thick cut ham (cubed)
- 3 oz. cheddar (cubed)
- 8 oz. pineapple chunks (juice reserved)
- ½ cup scallions (sliced)
- ¼ cup pineapple juice
- ½ cup mayo
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
- ¼ tsp. paprika
- In bowl, combine ham, cheese, pineapple, scallions and pasta.
- Whisk together pineapple juice, mayo, black pepper and paprika.
- Pour dressing over salad and stir to combine.
