Himalayan pink salt is pure, hand-mined salt found deep inside the pristine Himalayan Mountains. The high mineral content of Himalayan salt crystals contributes to their color ranging from deep reds to beautiful pinks.

Grilled Tofu Skewers with Spicy Chipotle Sauce
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The marinade for these grilled tofu skewers combines fresh turmeric, garlic, Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes. Grilled until caramelized and charred around the edges, these tofu bites are smoky, umami and get a kick of heat from a quickly blended Chipotle serving sauce. Serve as an impressive appetizer or enjoy as a main served with rice and grilled veggies. ?Get these sizzling skewers on your grill!
Grilled Tofu Skewers with Spicy Chipotle Sauce
- 2 blocks extra firm tofu (pressed, cut into small cubes)
Marinade
- 2 tsp. minced turmeric
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 Tbsp. coconut aminos
- 2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
- Himalayan pink salt (to taste)
Chipotle serving sauce
- 1/3 cup chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (jarred or canned)
- 1 tsp. maple syrup
- Drizzle olive oil
Garnish
- To press tofu, cut blocks in 3 equal parts lengthwise. Place pieces on cutting board. Cover with clean dish cloth. Top with heavy cook book. Let drain 1 hr.
- In small bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients.
- Slice drained, pressed tofu into cubes. In large bowl, combine tofu cubes and marinade. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
- To barbecue, slide tofu cubes onto skewers. Brush grill with olive oil and let it burn off. Brush more oil on grill and add skewers. Cook 15-20 minutes on each side, flipping once.
- For chipotle serving sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in blender and blend well.
- To serve, pour sauce into sauce bowls and set on plate with tofu.
