MRM Superfoods Raw Organic Red Beet Powder Description
Untouched nature mesmerizes me how it lives in harmony within itself; plants, animals and microorganisms, all intertwined in a sometimes chaotic yet cyclical unity. This perspective shaped my childhood and evolved into a quest for knowledge of ethnobotany (study of the relationships between peoples and plants). I'm humbled that this exploration allowed me to build a line of natural health products.
At MRM, we are inspired by nature and utilize science as a tool to learn, incorporate, support and educate what the natural world has to offer.
Respectfully, these Superfoods are the foods our ancestors thrived on, not today's foods we survive on.
Many Thanks,
- Mark Olson (Founder of MRM)

Apple & Peanut Butter Canine “Candy Canes”
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
These festive and colorful dog treats are made with your furry friend’s two favorite flavors: peanut butter and apple. Shaped like classic holiday candy canes, these homemade peanut butter dog treats are a fun way to include your furry friend in the holiday cheer. Naturally colored red using beet root powder, you can feel confident that they’re having a healthful snack. Just don’t use them to decorate the Christmas tree!
Apple & Peanut Butter Canine “Candy Canes”
- 1-1/2 cups oat flour
- 1/2 cup applesauce (unsweetened)
- 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. flaxseed meal
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. beet root powder
- 1/4 tsp. xanthan gum
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or non-stick baking mat.
- In medium bowl, combine all ingredients except beet root powder. Mix well.
- Divide dough. Sprinkle beet root powder into one half. Blend powder in thoroughly until color is smooth. (Note: If dough feels too dry, add 1/2-1 teaspoon of water for easier blending.)
- In small increments, roll out each dough ball into a long rope to desired thickness.
- Gently twist ropes together. Cut into desired lengths and pinch ends together.
- Place on cookie sheet and curve end of each treat to create the hook of the candy cane.
- Bake 20-30 minutes or until treats look very dry. For softer treats, bake for less time.
- Transfer onto wire rack and let cool completely.
Shelf-life & Storage
