Sir Kensington’s Vegan Mayo is a delicious egg-free mayonnaise alternative made with 100% Sunflower Oil and a little help from the mighty chickpea. Most vegan mayos are made with processed starches and pea or soy powders. However, we’ve leveraged the plant power of Aquafaba, the natural egg substitute made simply from chickpeas and water. Sir Kensington's Classic Vegan Mayo is made from the highest quality Non- GMO ingredients like 100% Sunflower Oil and Organic Aquafaba. All of our Vegan Mayos are Certified Vegan, Soy Free, Gluten Free and Keto Diet Certified. We never use any artificial ingredients, colors, or preservatives. We believe if it's not food, it doesn't belong in our food.

Vegan “Tuna” Melt

Ideal for both vegans and those just exploring plant-based eating, it's a delicious way to enjoy a familiar favorite in a new, health-conscious way.

Vegan Tuna Melt

Vegan "Tuna" Melt

  • 1 can (15 oz. chickpeas, drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 red onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 stalks of celery (finely diced)
  • 1 large carrot (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • 2 Tbsp. capers (optional)
  • 2 tsp. dried dill
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • Vegan butter for grilling bread
  • 4 slices of bread (any variety)
  • Vegan cheese (sliced or shredded)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional toppings:

  • avocado slices
  • tomato slices
  • lettuce
  1. In large mixing bowl, mash chickpeas with fork.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Over medium heat, preheat frying pan, griddle or panini press.
  4. Spread vegan butter on one side of each of the 4 slices of bread.
  5. On dry side of 2 slices, spread chickpea mixture and top with cheese.
  6. Place second piece of bread on top to close sandwiches, with butter on outside.
  7. Place sandwiches in frying pan press and cook until browned on each side, flipping carefully halfway through.
  8. Remove from heat, cut sandwiches in half and enjoy.
